Where to Eat Around Red Deer Village

Here at Red Deer Village we are lucky enough to be surrounded by lots of fantastic places to eat in and around Stepps. We’ve got a huge range of delicious restaurants for dinner and some great cafes if you fancy a spot of lunch!

To help you choose which one’s to visit we’ve compiled a list of all of our local favourites that are right here on our doorstep.

 

Cosy Cafes

Tea House on the Loch

Sat right beside Johnston loch and only 10 minutes away from Red Deer Village you’ll find Tea House on the Loch – the perfect spot for some lunch. Whether you’re looking for soup and a sandwich, or fancy treating yourself to some afternoon tea, this idyllic cafe has what you’re looking for.

 

Billington’s of Lenzie

The award winning Billington’s deli offers a huge range of locally sourced, artisan food for you to enjoy over lunch, or to buy and take home with you. They’ve got everything, from homemade burgers to antipasto sharing platters. If you’ve still got room we seriously recommend trying out some of their cold stone icecreams!

Capo Landa

In nearby Muirhead you’ll find Italian Restaurant, Capo Landa. Here you’ll find award winning wine and all of your Italian favourites on their A la Carte menu. They also offer a lunch and early evening menu where you can get three courses for just £13.95. If you don’t feel like dining out they also offer their dishes to takeaway and enjoy back here at Red Deer Village!

 

Chin Chin Bar Restaurant

A local favourite, Chin Chin offers a great range of Asian fusion food that will please everyone – including those who are vegetarian or gluten free. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes and foreign beers to try in their warm, relaxed restaurant. Some reviews have called it “the best Chinese food in Glasgow” – so it’s definitely worth the visit!

 

The Red Deer

Looking for that perfect Sunday roast? The Red Deer offers a range of roast options with a variety of different meats – they also have a delicious butternut squash option for vegetarians. As well as roasts, they also offer tasty traditional meals such as hunters chicken, steak pie and burgers. On their website keep an eye out for offers such as £15 prosecco on a Friday!

 

Milano Steak House

Although a little further away, the Milano Steak House is worth the visit – and only a 15 minute drive from Red Deer Village. Visitor favourites include their mouth watering steaks and their Scottish mussels. You may want to book in advance as Milano’s is quite often packed!

If you don’t feel like leaving the comfort of your Red Deer Village home, you can also grab something from one of the local takeaways. Real Spice offers great Indian cuisine, while Orchid Lane is a great local Chinese takeaway for you to enjoy on the sofa!
