Tropic Skincare Demo at Residents’ Hub

Tropic Skincare Demo

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing facial from a Tropic representative!

Anna Dunipace, ambassador for beauty brand Tropic Skincare, came to Red Deer Village on Wednesday 18 April. Red Deer Village is an exclusive retirement and semi-retirement village of residential park homes for the over 50s community in Stepps, Glasgow. Tropic Skincare is an award-winning beauty brand that uses sustainable, natural ingredients. Furthermore, they are in alliance with Cruelty Free international, The Vegan Society and PETA, and are a 100% animal cruelty-free brand.

Anna talked about products from the Tropic Skincare brand, and demonstrated how to use them. After that, she gave residents free facials and beauty tips based on skin type and requirements. Meanwhile, residents could enjoy a coffee and chat in our state of the art community hub. All of the ladies attending enjoyed the morning, and some were even persuaded to purchase!

Rufus Bellamy, MP, Hugh Gaffney and MSP, Fulton MacGregor officially opened our residents’ hub in September 2017 . The hub now hosts weekly and fortnightly activities and has hosted many charity events. For example, our Macmillan Coffee Morning raised £652.83. Also, £500 was donated to various charities at our Christmas Lights Switch-on. And, it has even hosted a local MSP surgery and jewellery show!

The £450k Pathfinder residents’ hub has been a huge asset to the park, bringing a real community feel. Our residents use it often for a tea or coffee, catch-up with friends or to read the newspaper. It’s certainly been a great investment, and our villagers love it being here. We can’t wait to see what we use it for next!
