Sons of the directors of Red Deer Village, Liam and Ian Hendry, did a sponsored charity run for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising a fantastic £200!

Red Deer Village director Ivan Hendry’s son, Liam Hendry, completed a sponsored charity 4.4 mile run on 29 April 2018. This was to raise donations for Macmillan Cancer Support. He was accompanied by director John Hendry’s son, Ian Hendry. Therefore, the sponsors have now all been collected and counted. As a result, the boys have managed to raise a fantastic £200! A big thank you to all of our residents and staff who sponsored the boys’ charity run. Well done Ian and Liam!

Macmillan Cancer Support helps people diagnosed with cancer. It gives people an idea of what to expect, information, advice and support. Additionally, they offer the opportunity to hear from experts and read about others’ experiences.

Red Deer Village is a 5-star retirement village in Stepps, 5 miles from Glasgow city centre. Moreover, it is exclusive to the over 50s community. With currently over 55 homes sold and around 80 residents. The park is now on Phase 3 of development. Red Deer Village are dedicated to charitable work, and have hosted many events in its new residents hub. These include a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising £652.83. Additionally, directors donated £250 worth of presents to the Salvation Army and £250 to Make A Wish at their 2017 Christmas Lights Switch-on.
